Thinking long term – how, what and why?

To open our series, we will look at the practicalities of a long-term approach. We will ask what can we learn from the model of the NHS ten-year plan and recent attempts to introduce new approaches in other countries. We will also ask why do we need a longer-term approach and is thinking ahead ten years long enough?
