SUMMARY:Power in Place – Driving Effective Education Partnerships for Flourishing Learners and Communities
DESCRIPTION:We know that strong local partnerships are key to ensuring that every learner, regardless of background, has access to high-quality education and opportunities that help them thrive. Yet, across the country, collaboration between schools, colleges, and communities often happens despite the system, rather than because of it.\nAt this roundtable discussion, we come together to explore how we can move beyond isolated success stories to create a future where effective place-based partnerships are the foundation of a strong, inclusive education system. This event will develop actionable ideas for long-term policy and practice, ensuring that in 10 years’ time, learners and communities truly feel the impact of sustained collaboration.\nThis policy roundtable will unpack:\n\nWhat systemic changes would make collaboration between schools, colleges, and local partners the norm rather than the exception?\nHow should school and college accountability shift to better reflect the success of a place, not just individual institutions?\nWhat should effective place-based partnerships look like in 10 years, and what needs to change now to get us there?\nWhat role should education partnerships play in tackling wider inequalities in their local communities?\n\n
